Thankful Thursday

Hey y'all! Thanks for tuning in for another Thankful Thursday post! My week hasn't been too terribly eventful, other than my husband and kids getting the congestion crud that has been going around.... but they're all recovered now! So there's that reason to be thankful!
Then, my parents are coming! Today, actually! This will be the third time that they have come this direction since we moved down here in January. And, I've gotta tell ya, that road trip is NOT a fun one to make too often. It just drags oooonnnnn and ooonnn.
But they're coming anyway! It's been a month since we have seen my parents and we miss their company. It's been hard to be so far from them. For the last 3 years or so, we have been less than fifteen minutes away from each other; so now that we are nine hours (though, it seems to be more like ten) away, it's been a bit of a culture shock.
I guess it's one of those things that you don't really appreciate until you don't have it anymore. I know not everyone gets to have a relationship with their folks like I do. And, I'm really not trying to rub it in. But they deserve the credit here. (And God deserves all my praise for blessing me with them!) My parents have always dropped everything to help us when we needed them, and in a way, I guess they're kind of doing it again, from further away! They're very dependable people and I'm so glad I was raised with them as my role models. Because they taught me how, I feel I can be dependable for my own babies someday. I will likely be a little TOO dependable, but we will see...

I could go on and on and on about my parents, y'all. They're pretty fantastic. God blessed me with FANTASTIC parents, and my kids with some pretty fantastic grandparents. The longer we are here, the more I miss having them around. We are SO glad they're coming.
Sidenote: The kids have NO idea they're coming today. I will do my best to capture a photo of their faces when they get here, but no promises. There will be so much joy in this house when they walk through the door!
So, remember to count your blessings today....and every day. Thank God for all He's done for you. Dig deep and find those blessings and focus on those. Your day will be so much better if you do.
Happy Thursday, friends. Thanks for following along.
